This page explains how to delete your Neural Summary account and all associated personal data. It applies to both the Neural Summary Android app (package com.neuralsummary.app, published by DreamOne Holding BV) and the web app at neuralsummary.com, which share a single account.
About Neural Summary
Neural Summary is a product of DreamOne Holding BV. The Android app "Neural Summary" (com.neuralsummary.app) and the web app at neuralsummary.com use the same account, so deleting your account from either surface removes your data from both. Delete your account from inside the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from within Neural Summary. Follow these steps:
- Open the Neural Summary Android app or go to neuralsummary.com in a browser.
- Sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings, then open the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section at the bottom of the page.
- Tap "Delete Account" and confirm the warning.
- Re-authenticate: enter your password (for email sign-in) or complete the Google re-authentication prompt (for Google sign-in).
- Your account and data are deleted immediately and you are signed out.
Can't sign in? Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your account, you can request deletion by email. Send a message to privacy@neuralsummary.com from the email address associated with your account and include:
- Subject line: "Account deletion request"
- The email address used to create your Neural Summary account
- A clear statement that you want your account and personal data deleted
We will verify that you own the account before deleting any data. We aim to process verified requests within 7 business days, and in all cases within 30 days of receipt, in line with our obligations under the GDPR.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted (either through the in-app flow or after an email request), we permanently remove the following:
- Your account profile: email address, display name and authentication credentials
- All audio files and recordings you have uploaded
- All conversations (transcriptions) and generated Lenses (analyses)
- Folders, custom templates, chat messages and usage history
- Imported conversations and any sharing links you created
- Your Stripe customer record; any active subscription is cancelled immediately
What is retained and for how long
Your live account data is removed immediately. Encrypted system backups may still contain copies of deleted data for up to 30 days, after which they are overwritten. Backups are access-restricted and are used only for disaster recovery, not to restore individual deleted accounts. We may also retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself (for example, the date and a hash of the request) where required to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations.
Deletion is permanent
Account deletion cannot be undone. Once your account is removed, we cannot recover your conversations, Lenses, folders, or any other content. If you want to keep a copy of your data, export it before deleting your account.
